Good morning/afternoon/evening .. choose whatever ;):

This study which was published in The Telegraph, shows that believing in God is innately , and that children were born as believers
even when they are not taught about anything related to belief, and even if they were in an isolated island or desert:

This study which was published in The Guardian confirms that believing in God is innate, and children were born as believers in creationism and that everything in nature was created for a purpose , not as what the evolution theory and nature selection says. But parents and adults will choose through which religion their children will be raised for obeying that God.
And that is why the majority of people in all cultures through out the history are "believers" .

Now let's compare the previous studies with these quotations:

In Quran, Allah said :
( ) (172 - 173)

Translation :
(And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam's loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this."
Or lest you should say: "It was only our fathers afortime who took others as partners in worship along with Allh, and we were (merely their) descendants after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practised Al-Btil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allh)?" ) Al-A'raf [172 - 173]

( ) (30)

Translation :
(So set thy purpose (O Muhammad) for religion as a man by nature upright - the nature (framed) of Allah, in which He hath created man. There is no altering (the laws of) Allah's creation. That is the right religion, but most men know not) Ar-Room (The Romans) [30]

( ) (85)

(We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace.) Al-Hijr [85]

( ) (3)

(We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them but with a purpose for an appointed time. Yet the unbelievers turn away from the warning.) Al-Ahqaf [3]

And in one of the prophet sayings , he said:
( )

(Every child is born on Fitrah (natural disposition; or true faith of Islam to worship none but Allah), then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian)

Praise be to Allah , and peace be upon all of his messengers especially the last one , Mohammed
Have a nice day!
