But still I don't understand why a number of Muslims say that Qur'an makes mention of big bang? I don't know what are there bases; maybe they interpret 21:30 in a different way, I'm very curious to know

Look, according to science, first whole "universe" was compact together. At that time, the entire universe was hotter and denser, then it exploded, Universe expanded and cooled, energy changed into particles of matter and antimatter, particles called protons and neutrons formed, gases hydrogen & helium formed, it kept growing, eventually came the planets including the earth, the stars, galaxies & us. Right?
So if you see the ''earth'' was not there at the time of explosion.
Verse 21:30: "The heavens & the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them".
How can one call something which doesn't exist
??
I really don't get how the verse 21:30 talks about big bang
